How can we link insurance plans to our solution?

Currently, PruLink does not have any features that enables users to purchase insurance plans because we do not want to market the mobile application as an app to sell insurance that has an end goal of making profits.

 

Our goal of designing PruLink is to build a youth centric app that will mainly cater to youths so we did not include the feature to purchase insurance plans to minimize the risk that youths may avoid downloading the app.

Based on data collected from our interview and survey data, youths tend to avoid insurance agents as they are afraid that they will attempt to hard sell them their insurance plans. Youths also tend to associate insurance with adulthood and believe that Prudential's target audience is not youths but working adults who have the financial ability to purchase insurance.

They (insurance agents) seems very persistent, overly persistent doesn’t give off genuine vibes

It’s common practice for working adults to get insurance.

My first impression of insurance agents/insurance companies is that they are a SCAM

Therefore, a potential expansion plan in the future would be to include the feature to allow the purchase of insurance plans via PruLink after the app has gained the trust of youths and popularity among them.
